Privacy Policy

AlphaToZed, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the mobile application WordDuel (the “Game”), built with the Godot Engine. This Privacy Policy explains how data is collected, used, stored, and disclosed when you play WordDuel.

By downloading, accessing, or playing WordDuel, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Game.

1. Accounts and gameplay data

WordDuel uses Firebase Authentication (anonymous, and optionally Sign in with Apple or Google) so we can sync matches, clubs, and progress. We store game boards, racks, scores, chat messages, club membership, favorites, streaks, and seasonal pass progress on Firebase (Firestore and, for Lightning rooms, Realtime Database).

2. Local save data

A copy of your wallet, cosmetics, and settings is also stored on-device (user://save_data.json). Uninstalling the Game removes this local copy.

3. Push notifications

We send optional “your turn,” chat, and event alerts through Firebase Cloud Messaging and, on iPhone, Apple Push Notification service. You can disable notifications in system settings.

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

WordDuel may show rewarded video ads via Google AdMob. We do not use other mediation partners in this version. AdMob may process device and ad identifiers. Where required, we use Google’s User Messaging Platform before ads are requested.

5. In-app purchases

Optional purchases (gem packs, coin packs, Rewards Pass, and permanent Double Coins) are processed by Apple App Store / Google Play Billing. We do not receive your full payment card details.

6. iOS tracking (ATT)

On iPhone, you may see Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt for relevant ads. You can still play and watch rewarded ads if you decline.

7. Children’s privacy

WordDuel is a general-audience word game with ads, optional purchases, and player chat. It is not directed at children under 13 and is not listed in Apple’s Kids category.

8. Camera, microphone, and photos

WordDuel does not access your camera, microphone, or photo library.
